North Star was first established in July 2000 with over 25 years' experience in the cleaning industry. We are a family run business managed by Karen and Gary North and we provide our own bespoke service for every individual client.
We specialise in cleaning services for both residential and commercial clients serving the Kent area, serving the Medway towns, Maidstone, Sittingbourne etc and also Surrey, Sussex, Essex and South-East London areas.
Formerly based in Swanley, North Star relocated to Sheerness in 2008 and has been acknowledged as a full member of the National Carpet Cleaners Association, No. 1068, in recognition of our high standards and knowledge in the cleaning industry. We also are members of Trustatrader with the 3 year badge accreditation.

We provide telephone emergency assistance (24 hours) and where an emergency situation arises we can get to you on the same day.
We also provide a specialist service in the way of fire and flood damage, to include survey / report, liaison directly with the Insurers/Loss Adjusters and a disaster restoration clean-up team. We understand how damaging and traumatic this can be for the client and we are there on hand to help with any concerns and for to reassure them.
North Star Ltd. specialise in carpet and upholstery cleaning. We also provide dry cleaning of curtains (in-situ), "stain guard" protection for carpets and upholstery, sparkle and building cleans. We also provide end of tenancy cleans for private landlords , letting and managing agents. Whether you need a spring clean or just simply a maintenance clean to help you with your workload, we can help, just ask us for information. We understand that not every householder is the same, so we prefer to carry out a free home visit so we can talk to the client and ask them what they would like. We don't judge on how much of a mess the property is in as every one has different circumstances and each person is treated with the same professionalism as the next.

Required a carpet repair - initial stages of enquiry and quote Karen and Gary were very helpful and friendly. Day of service, Matt was very friendly and explained what he would be doing. Efficient service, he came back same day to clean the carpet after repair, was very apologetic yet still friendly and polite - cannot fault the service from start to finish.

Had an cleaner attend our old flat on the 1st of September 2021 to clean the carpets before we handed the keys back to the lettings agent. We were very pleased, our carpet came up beautifully. Technician explained that certain hard tread areas may still show but the improvement was very good. I will definitely be recommending North Star Cleaning to friends.
Matt came in the morning and he had quite a lot to do. It was a very hot day but he worked hard and well. He gets the full five stars because he always smiled.
Gary and Karen came to clean our pair of sofas which are 7 year's old and have never been cleaned before....not an easy task!! Gary and Karen were a very professional and efficient team and the sofas now look ab fab..we'd definitely recommend them and we won't leave it so long next time ;0)

I unfortunately knocked my iron on to a relatively new carpet, rang on Thursday and had the repair done the following Monday. Very prompt service and fully satisfied with the new piece of carpet that was fitted. Highly recommend North Star.

I recently had my lounge/diner, hall, stairs and landing cleaned by Matt. Lovely chap, arrived on time, most helpful and excellent job. I recommended the company to my next door neighbour who had their carpets cleaned the following week. They were just as happy. I will definitely use them again.

We are again extremely pleased with the excellent service provided by North Star. Gary and his assistant arrived early (offering apologies for doing so!) and were efficient, polite and thorough, completing the work ( 3 large areas including stairs and landing) in less than 90 minutes, leaving everything tidy and also providing good guidance on access to cleaned floors. And the hall runner was cleaned as a free extra, which was much appreciated! We would have no hesitation in recommending North Star to others.

Great carpet cleaning. Have used for a number of years now. Always a good result - even when my carpets/rugs are beyond dirty - three dogs do not help.
Small repair to hole in carpet following burglary. The repair was carried out by replacing each individual tuft by sewing in ones taken from a spare piece of carpet. Great care was taken to ensure that the hole was completely filled and we are really pleased with the result.
North Star are the ultimate professionals and I have no problem recommending them. I had a emergency job for a client with a stained carpet and they fitted us in and sorted the problem immediately. I had an end of tenancy clean with a tenant of 10 years leaving the property. My previous experience with local professional cleaners had not been good. Generally poor quality of cleaning, not thorough or deep, and inflated costs. I asked North Star to clean the property for me and am absolutely delighted. A kitchen I thought I might have to replace has been rescued and the house is spotless. I showed prospective tenants around today and will have no difficulty renting the property out again. The charge for such a ‘high end’ Service was I thought very fair. I will use North Star for all my rental property cleans in future.
This is the second year I have used North Star cleaning services and my rugs once again look as new. I never thought that my rugs could look so good.... as I have dogs.... but Gary is such a professional and knows his job. I had one rug which I thought was beyond help but it now looks perfect.
