A very good service. We were very pleased with the outcome of the cleaning of both the rugs taken away and the fitted carpet here. They look really good. John McRobie was professional, friendly and polite, coming to us at the end of lockdown. He took all the precautions necessary to keep us and him safe, cleaning surfaces as he went.
A leaking radiator valve resulted in staining of the beige coloured 80% wool carpet over an area approximately 1m diameter. John attended to review the situation and was quietly confident that he could make a significant improvement. He was transparent in his pricing of the job, time required, and the range of possible outcomes. Chemicals were applied to the stain, then time allowed for them to work, followed by a machine wash/clean, 90 mins later we had a vastly improved situation. Once everything had dried the staining was pretty much gone - an excellent result that exceeded our expectations and avoided the need for a replacement carpet. John is very knowledgeable in his field, takes great pride in his work to get the best result and is very professional in all aspects of the services he provides. Thoroughly recommended and would definitely use Clean & Fresh again.
Clean & Fresh arrived when they said they would and were very courteous and polite. They successfully removed a large stain from a mug of tea spilt on a white wool carpet which had dried out - so a difficult job. We are very pleased with the end product and grateful for a job well done.
I simply cannot fault this service. We had our carpets and sofa cleaned by Clean and Fresh Ltd again this year having used them two years ago. The carpets and sofa came up beautifully and were glowing. Everything smelt fresh. The service was low priced, fast and professional. Unfortunately we had a very bad spillage a few weeks later. We rang at 9am on a bank holiday, by 10am Clean and Fresh were back attending to the stain. We've now asked to be put on a yearly recall for a freshen up. Totally amazing service!
John takes a step by step approach to carpet cleaning. Firstly the area is thoroughly vacuumed and then spot cleaned to release stubborn spots. Only then are the carpets steam cleaned. The result is a very noticeable improvement. On the last occasion we spilled red wine onto the freshly cleaned carpets by accident. John returned two days later and was able to take out the stains with his careful use of chemicals. John is a true professional.
After taking my things out of long-term storage I discovered I had a moth infestation in my still rolled up rugs. These rugs were very precious to me. I was horrified as I could see all the little white eggs seemingly everywhere. I was told by a couple of carpet cleaners I contacted that they now needed special licences to treat moths and didn’t have them so couldn’t help. The rentokill person I contacted was incredibly helpful but said they used a heavy pesticide which would mean leaving the flat, and that they’d have to repeat the process twice more. Having ME/CFS this wasn’t a route I wanted to go down - would have thrown the rugs out rather than do that. Then I contacted John and he told me that he felt he could wash and treat the rugs in a way that would rid me of the problem. He came and collected them and took them away which was a massive relief, having them out of the flat. He was so patient, kind and understanding of my circumstances and didn’t rush me on anything. I really appreciated his incredibly courteous service and helpful, informative advice. He cleaned and treated them well - along with a number of tapestries I had - and delivered them all back to me at a time convenient to me. And it was all for what seemed a very reasonable price. Basically, he couldn’t have been more helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.
John cleaned the carpets and bathroom floor in my elderly fathers house last week. The carpets were looking very dirty and John made them look brand new again. He worked in a very professional and considerate manner. Would definitely recommend his company.

A burst water pipe caused the flooding of a lounge carpet and having contacted John he came around to look at the problem and got it sorted. There was a lot of water which he got rid of and brought the carpet up a treat. He left a blower machine for a few days to ensure the remaining moisture was irradiated. I was very happy with his work and the professional manner in which he presented himself and carried out the work. I would definitely use the services of Clean & Fresh again.
I have a very large Chinese rug which needed cleaning. I usually use tradesmen who have been recommended but this time I found someone on line. John quoted a very competitive price and took the rug away. When he brought it back I was delighted with the job he had done. I have a couple of large old Belgian cotton carpets, a very large old Chinese carpet and an old Chinese rug all of which had been in store for a considerable time and I was both anxious to have them cleaned and anxious about the process as they are all old family friends! I found Clean & Fresh on the internet and spoke to John first before he came over. He has been extremely helpful throughout and has taken great care over the cleaning (all offsite) & I am delighted with the results. He has now completed a second big job for me and I shall be using him again. 5 stars!
Lounge & bedroom carpet clean was excellent. I had doubts that cleaning the lounge area with light fade, garden footfall & a dog would be too much to expect. The clean exceeded my expectations. John is very professional & pleasure to do business with, I highly recommend his work.
